Couture 2010, Blurs the line between interior design and fashion!

IIDA_021209_0459th

In February, the Southwest Chapter of the International Interior Design Association, presents the 3rd Annual COUTURE event at the Phoenix Art Museum, benefiting the Interior Design Coalition of Arizona. It’s high fashion meets interior design.

COUTURE 2010, blurs the line between interior design and fashion design through competition of unique fashions. Each outfit will be made of interior design materials & finishes such as carpet and wall-covering with hair and makeup by Toni&Guy. Designed by local architect and interior design firms they compete for the top prize, Best of Show for 2010.

If you were there last year, you know how popular this event is. Over 600 attended last year, this year an estimate of over 800 will be in attendance. Make sure to get your tickets early before it’s sold out by emailingiidacouture2010@yahoo.com.

This year’s COUTURE will have valley design firms randomly paired with an interior design Manufacturer/Vendor (such as a wall-covering or ceramic tile representative) and a specific color. This year’s colors were chosen from Ultron’s 2010 Color Forecast. Each Design Team will create a complete outfit and choose a team member to model it at the event. Below are some of last year’s outfits and event photos.
