Remodeling a master bath...dollars well spent

Kimberlee Jaynes Interior Designs Inc. had the opportunity to remodel a two story home recently and part of the renovation was the master bath.

The Challenge:Create a light and spacious master  bath with tub and steam shower.

Solution:We borrowed room from the garage and added the steam shower in the borrowed space. The free standing tub adds drama and really is a piece of art in itself. there is lots of linen storage in a floor to ceiling partially open cabinet. Private water closet and floating vanity with lighted medicine cabinets add to the spacious feel of this remodel.

In the before picture below, the bathroom was outdated and cramped for space.

Renderings are a great help to the client...they can "see" just how all of the components will fit before anything is ordered.

Pictured below you can see the tiled wall behind the mirrors  adds visual interest. The hanging lights are just for ambiance there is plenty of lighting from the Robern mirrors. All plumbing fixtures, lighting and mirrors are from Ferguson's.

All of the tile featured in the shower, flooring and walls is from Ann Sacks.

This long niche creates modern sleek functional storage. What was once dark and deary now sparkles with light and interesting contrasts and colors. Plenty of storage and lots of room to for this couple to enjoy a relaxing steam or soak at the end of their day.
